UKSEA Vax Hub (UK–South East Asia Vaccine Hub) is a University of Sheffield-led initiative that brings together partners across the UK and South East Asia to strengthen vaccine research, development, and manufacturing capacity. Through five core universities: University of Sheffield, University of Cambridge, University of York, University of Kent, and Chulalongkorn University, and a wider network of partners in South East Asia, the hub provides an end-to-end platform spanning vaccine discovery and design, manufacturing, supply chain management, clinical trials, regulatory processes, and implementation, supported by cross-cutting enablers such as IP/freedom to operate, public health and health economics, and enabling technologies (e.g., synthetic biology and bioanalytic). Its annual meeting (now in its third edition in 2026) convenes academic, industry, and public-sector stakeholders to strengthen regional capabilities through joint R&D, training, and translational support, enabling faster evaluation of vaccine candidates, improved readiness for emerging infectious diseases, and more equitable access to impactful vaccination solutions across the South East Asia region.
