Bio

Dr Claude Flamand is an epidemiologist researcher and Head of the Epidemiology and Public Health Unit at Institut Pasteur du Cambodge. His work focuses on infectious disease epidemiology, public health, and One Health approaches in Southeast Asia, particularly at the human–animal–environment interface. He coordinates several multidisciplinary research programmes, including RACSMEI, a nationwide One Health multi-pathogen survey conducted across all 25 provinces of Cambodia. His research integrates population-based surveys, surveillance data, sero-epidemiology, spatial analysis, modelling, and social sciences to better understand exposure to infectious diseases and support evidence-based public health action.
