Bio

Professor Patricia Chung is the Founding and Managing Partner of Chung Chambers, an IP Legal Firm, President of the International Intellectual Property Commercialization Council (IIPCC) Malaysia, a global NGO and a Permanent Observer to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Founding President of the Intangible Assets Commercialisation & Strategy Association (IACSA) Malaysia. With over 18 years of legal experience, she specialises in intellectual property (IP), corporate advisory, and dispute resolution, with a strong focus on IP valuation, commercialization, and strategy. A Certified Patent Valuation Analyst (CPVA), registered IP agent, accredited mediator, and Independent Non-Executive Director of a listed company, she has also been appointed as Industry Professor at Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) and Adjunct Professor at INTI International University. She plays an active role in shaping IP ecosystems at both national and international levels and has been invited by WIPO as an IP Expert for its IP Management Clinic and panel discussions. Widely recognised for bridging law, innovation, and industry, she has advised startups, SMEs, and multinational corporations across diverse sectors. A seasoned speaker and moderator, she frequently shares insights on LegalTech, AI, ESG, and IP commercialization, contributing to conversations on translating ideas into scalable and sustainable value.
