“Sustainable aquaculture: Producing responsibly and feeding the world.”
Dr. Lee Yih Nin is Assistant Director of Curtin Aquaculture Research Laboratories (CARL) and senior lecturer of Curtin University Malaysia. She is leading a research team working on sustainable aquaculture research. She has experience in fish disease identification, especially fungal infection and fish immunology. Dr. Lee’s expertise is in fish health management in aquaculture, which is enforced by her research in aquaculture nutrition and immunology. She has extensive experience in fungal identification (lower fungi), gene expression, molecular cloning and artificial infection. She leads a project to develop alternative feed for fishmeal replacement using fishbone waste and is working on fish immune competence and growth performance.
