Professor Dr Awang Ahmad Sallehin bin Awang Husaini is a leading academic and visionary researcher at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), where he serves as a Professor in the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology and Director of the Centre for Research, Development, Innovation, Commercialisation, and Economy (RDICE). Equipped with a PhD in Biomolecular Science, he draws on specialised expertise in biotechnology and enzymology to focus on sustainable solutions, such as mycoremediation and bioprocess technology. As an exceptional research leader, he has secured RM5.3 million in funding from 30 national and international grants. His prolific scholarly output includes 114 indexed publications, earning an h-index of 14 and over 732 citations. Beyond the laboratory, Professor Dr Awang Ahmad Sallehin is a champion of translational research. Having filed 16 intellectual properties and successfully commercialised two products, he continues to elevate Malaysia's higher education sector by driving incubator programs and bridging the critical gap between scientific discovery and commercial application.
