Bio

Prof Lim Chwee Teck is the NUSS Chair Professor and Director of the Institute for Health Innovation and Technology at the National University of Singapore. He is known for developing innovative medical technologies that are transforming healthcare. His impactful breakthroughs span liquid biopsy, wearable sensors, and point-of-care diagnostics. Prof Lim has published over 520 peer-reviewed articles and delivered more than 550 plenary, keynote, and invited lectures worldwide. As a serial entrepreneur, he has co-founded six startups, one of which successfully achieved an IPO in 2018. Prof Lim and his team have garnered over 100 awards and honours, including the President’s Science Award, President’s Technology Award, Nature Lifetime Achievement Award for Mentoring in Science, Asia’s Most Influential Scientist Award, Highly Cited Researcher, Asian Scientist 100, ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award and Wall Street Journal Asian Innovation Award. In recognition of his exceptional scientific leadership and innovation, Prof Lim has been elected Fellow of ten leading academies worldwide, including the National Academy of Engineering (US), Royal Society (UK), Royal Academy of Engineering (UK), National Academy of Inventors (US), IAMBE, AIMBE, ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology, Singapore National Academy of Science and Academy of Engineering among others.
